Find out what a replacement would solve
A worn faucet cartridge, cracked fixture body, and blocked pipe are different problems. Ask the plumber to identify the fault and explain whether replacing the fixture addresses it. A new toilet or disposal won't remove an obstruction farther down the connected drain.
Check the installed price
If replacement makes sense, ask about the mounting, connectors, supply valves, removal of the old fixture, and testing. Cabinet, countertop, flooring, or electrical work may be separate. Get those boundaries clear before comparing the installation with the product price you found online.
Keep the details for the next repair
Save the model, purchase information, and instructions for a new fixture. Knowing the exact product can make it easier to find compatible parts later. Ask who handles a warranty issue and whether labor is covered separately from the fixture itself.
